Following the ceremony, the cocktail hour began in the lobby. The wedding party and our honored couple were announced to their guests to “Get Ready for This”, and Sonnie's dad, Jeff, delivered his welcome speech and returned thanks. The plated meal was then served to guests with a special salad parade presentation. The toasts were given by Best Man, Danny, and Matron of Honor, Jordan. Finally, guests raised their glasses as the groom toasted his guests and new bride.

Next, the couple cut the cake to “I Can't Help Myself.” While guests enjoyed dessert, the couple danced their first to “Wanted” followed by the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances to “My Little Girl” and “Because You Loved Me.”

After about an hour of open dancefloor, David joined his diving community for a special photo. Sonnie and David then hosted a Dollar Dance. Single ladies sought the bouquet as it was tossed to “Man, I Feel Like a Woman”, and David removed Sonnie's garter to “Can't Touch This”.

This Purdue Alum couple has come a long way since Olympic Diver, David asked Sonnie to coffee via Facebook! They are looking forward to a bright future together. Congrats, Sonnie and David!
